Ghana First with the motive to curb open defecation in the country have decided to build toilet facilities in schools, markets and most places in the country with no access to toilet facilities.
GCB bank has showed interest in the project which is currently ongoing and decided to partner with Ghana First in collaboration with the Metropolitan Assemblies and Districts to construct 800 public toilets.
On Monday 29, Ghana First Co Ltd CEO, Frank Akuley and team as well as GCB bank project personnel went on inspection of the Nsawam Adogyiri projects which are under construction.
After a thorough inspection of the projects in the Eastern region, GCB bank representatives spoke with the contractors and engineers on quality control assessment and timing of the projects.
Mr. Akuley , advised the contractors to speed up work but in quality standard according to the contract.He also spoke on the management of the facilities when construction are finished saying, is expected to employ five people to run on three shit every 24 hours.
The Ghana First CEO, went on to express concern on contractors who have failed to complete projects contracted to them and also touched on cholera Issues.
